ISSUES OF PERSONALITY EDUCATION IN THE NAKHCHIVAN ENLIGHTENMENT ENVIRONMENT: HISTORICAL TRADITIONS AND MODERN METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES
Abstract. The article analyzes the historical experience of the Nakhchivan
enlightenment environment regarding personality education and the synthesis of
this heritage with modern methodological paradigms. The study explores child
psychology, the unity of family and school, and the factor of the mother tongue
in M.T. Sidqi’s “Mektebi-Terbiye” model, as well as the principles of civic
position and social responsibility within the “Molla Nasreddin” school. Against
the backdrop of contemporary challenges, the integration of historical
traditions with innovative approaches such as competency-based education,
emotional intelligence, and digital citizenship is substantiated. In
conclusion, the necessity of preserving historical continuity and applying
modern pedagogical innovations in fostering a personality that is both
nationally rooted and globally competitive is emphasized.
