INCREASING TEACHERS' ICT LITERACY AND ITS IMPACT ON TEACHING

Abstract. Increasing teachers' ICT literacy is one of the main priorities of the modern education system. In an era of rapid digitalization, it is necessary for a teacher to have not only subject knowledge, but also the skills to effectively use information and communication technologies. ICT literacy allows a teacher to organize the teaching process in a more flexible, interactive and student-oriented way. These skills are manifested in such areas as the use of electronic resources, the preparation of digital presentations, the application of online assessment tools, the organization of distance learning and the visualization of educational materials.
