EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE BLOCK-BASED LEARNING MODEL IN
EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS
Abstract. Block-based
learning has proven to be an innovative and increasingly effective teaching
approach in modern teacher education. It is characterized by a structured,
intensive, and modular organization of learning content. In contrast to
traditional, linear, and fragmented lesson models, block-based learning allows
prospective teachers to focus on specific pedagogical topics within clearly
defined learning units. This purposeful activity aims to develop deeper
understanding, increase knowledge retention, and strengthen the practical
application of educational theories. Given ongoing educational reforms and
increasing demands on teacher professionalism, evaluating the effectiveness of
such models has become an important research focus. This study examines the
impact of block-based learning on the development of pedagogical competencies,
lesson planning, and classroom management among prospective teachers. The aim
of the study is to determine whether structured learning blocks contribute to a
more effective integration of theory and practice and support the professional
development of future teachers.
