"HISTORY OF AZERBAIJANI EDUCATION IN IREVAN (YEREVAN)": RESEARCH AND RESULTS

Abstract. The article examines the specific features, structural and content problems of Jalal Allahverdiyev's book "History of Azerbaijani Education in İrevan". First of all, the book substantiates the role and position of the İrevan Azerbaijanis, who have a special place in the history of Azerbaijani education, in the enlightenment movement, and emphasizes the facts mentioned about the importance of always keeping in mind, researching and conveying the material and spiritual values ​​of our people, statehood traditions to the growing generations. The article presents in a generalized form the ideas reflecting the results of J. Allahverdiyev's research on the Yerevan enlightenment movement, which made special contributions to the history of education in Azerbaijan in the 19th-20th centuries, its prominent representatives and the directions of activity of educational institutions. In our opinion, this research work can play the role of a fundamental source for in-depth study of the history of Azerbaijani education in İrevan.
