Abstract. Hikmet Alizade confidently navigated the ups and downs of his teaching and academic career and reached the pinnacle. He will soon turn 70. He lived a meaningful life, earned recognition as an exemplary university teacher and scholar, and made a significant contribution to the development of academic and teaching staff as a research supervisor and government official. This article explores his life and work.
