THE ROLE OF THE TEACHER’S PERSONAL EXAMPLE IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS
Abstract. The author's discourse pertains
to a matter of considerable pertinence. She posits that one of the most
significant pedagogical methodologies is the use of personal example by the
teacher. In addition to its function as a method, example is also regarded as a
means of education. As such, these educational means help to form positive
moral qualities in children.
The teacher fulfils a mission of great importance: that of transmitting
social values and culture to the younger generation, while also shaping in them
the knowledge, skills and competences required by the modern era. The teacher
has the capacity to broaden the horizons of children with limited worldviews
and to help transform them into conscientious future citizens of society.
The principal factors that establish a teacher's authority are
professional ethics, a respectful attitude towards the learner's personality,
and adherence to norms of conduct. In accordance with professional ethics,
teachers are expected to demonstrate humanism in their interactions with
others, cultivate a high level of culture in educational activities, and embody
positive moral qualities such as care, optimism, politeness, benevolence, and
dignity in nearly all contexts.
